GED® Test Preparation Classes

This course is designed to help students improve their basic skills such as reading and math to prepare for the standard GED® tests.  It is a blended classroom with face-to-face instruction supported by computer programs which can be accessed for extended learning at home.  Instruction is based on individual needs and abilities.

    • 18 years old or older (contact Student Services if under 18 years old)
    • Take a CASAS Test or have a current CASAS score of less than one year

    • $40.00  Enrollment fee paid once a year that covers the cost of the CASAS Test
    • $30.00  Tuition fee per session, per student. Sessions are August – December and January-May
    • $15.00  Activity fee per year
    • $10.00  Re-enrollment fee must be paid by a returning student who was withdrawn for 6 consecutive absences

  • The GED® test is comprised of four (4) separate tests:

    • Reasoning Through Language Arts
    • Mathematical Reasoning
    • Social Studies
    • Science

  • Current Schedule for GED ® Preparation Classes for Fall Session 2025:

    August 7 – December 18, 2025

    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

    8:00 am to 11:00 am  or

    12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

    Classes are held at Withlacoochee Technical College, 1201 W. Main Street, Inverness, FL.

    Online GED® Preparation Classes are available. Please contact the College for more information.

    Off-site Classes are Held at the YMCA in Lecanto from 5:00 to 8:00 pm
