Community CPR Classes
Community CPR Classes
Basic Information
Each student who successfully completes all requirements of an AHA BLS/HeartSaver course is to be issued a course completion eCard. No AHA course completion card or eCard is issued without hands-on manikin skills practice and testing provided by an AHA instructor.
Dress: Those participating in a CPR course should dress appropriately as they should expect to be on their knees, on the floor for hands-on skills practice/testing for an extended period of time throughout course instruction.
American Heart Association Disclaimer:
· The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS and Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA, and any fees charged for such a course does not represent income to the Association.
Health & Physical Exertion Disclaimer:
· CPR training involves rigorous physical activity including kneeling, bending and continuous chest compressions on a manikin for several minutes. This activity can cause physical strain or emotional stress. Consult your doctor if you have a medical condition or an injury that might be aggravated by strenuous physical activity before participating.
· To protect other participants, if you currently have an infectious disease, an upper respiratory infection, or open sores on your mouth or hands, you must defer from taking the class until you are fully recovered.
· Participation is voluntary. If you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or physical discomfort during the course, stop immediately and inform your instructor.
